D.E.A.R. stands for “Drop Everything and Read,” a national celebration of reading designed to remind every individual to make reading a prime important activity in their lives. With a library that houses nearly 10, 000 books, magazines, newspapers, periodicals, journals and e-books, our budding readers are spoilt for choice.
The Programme enlists the homeroom facilitator’s assistance to guide learners through books of a wide array of genres, titles and time-periods. From beloved Geronimo Stilton & Dr. Seuss, to more contemporaneous literature for young-adults, our learners are guided through age-appropriate reading assignments that balance their interests and taste. Book reviews, reports and conferencing helps learners share their reading and articulate their personal take on whatever is read. The D.E.A.R. Programme inspires in our learners a deep and enduring love for reading and literature that leaves a lasting imprint on their lives.
